I am a psychotherapist with a doctorate in clinical psychology. I have been practicing for 10+ years. I have worked in diverse settings from hospitals to group practice prior to starting this practice. I have had the pleasure of working with many different individuals over time supporting them with an array of struggles.
I think it is an honor to do this work where a client invites you fully into their lives. I have a passion for helping clients live their healthiest and most full-filling lives in a world that makes it very difficult to do so. I strive to create a therapeutic relationship that feels very trusting and professional. I truly believe in the power of therapy. My hope is that you gain deeper insight, feel confident in who you are, and your next steps with whatever you may be exploring or processing in sessions.
My practice used to provide both in-person and virtual sessions. As of 2025, it's now only virtual with the goal of going back to a combination of in-person sessions and virtual sessions in the future.
I value the special chance that counseling offers of getting to join different people in finding clarity and serenity. I use an eclectic model where I draw upon different evidence-based treatment to fit the individual’s specific needs/goals. I strive to provide an environment that is warm, non-judgmental, compassionate, and collaborative. I provide a balance of taking therapy at your pace, but I also provide guidance, and am an active participant in your therapeutic work. I help a client feel confident about knowing what's best for their own life rather than feeling dependent. I am passionate about empowering clients to live their most resilient lives. I have a particular interest in and expertise in working with anxiety, life transitions, trauma, attachment and especially issues related to pregnancy, postpartum struggles, and overall journey of motherhood and parenthood.

The phone consultation lasts about 15-20 minutes and is an opportunity for us to talk about why you're seeking therapy. It is an opportunity to ask me questions, and determine our next steps.
According to the No Surprises Act (H.R. 133), if you are a patient who is not using insurance, does not have insurance, or is not submitting a superbill to insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for any non-emergency medical items or services. This estimate will show the total expected cost of the items or services and will include the costs that are reasonably expected for your specific health care needs. It's important to note that the estimate is based on the information available at the time it was created.
What happens when I call a therapist for the first time?
We have a 15–20-minute conversation where we talk about the reasons you are choosing to start psychotherapy. This is an opportunity for you to ask me questions on my background or clinical style. We also discuss demographic information and anything else needed to book a first-time session. During the phone call, we will book the first session if we seem to be a good fit. You will then receive a welcome email with all of the forms you need to send to me before the first meeting.
What happens during an initial session with a therapist?
The initial session is called an intake or diagnostic evaluation. This is a time where we review the forms you have already signed to be able to start therapy with me. This is also a time to discuss issues and goals in detail, and for me to ask questions to get to know you better. I will ask questions about background information, family, youth, and important events or milestones. It is up to you how much or little you feel like disclosing. Please note that the first session can be overwhelming for some people since a lot is covered. You may wish to plan an enjoyable activity after it or take some time afterward to relax before proceeding with your day.
Do I need to bring anything to an intake/diagnostic evaluation?
You may want to bring any information that would be helpful for me to have during our treatment should we decide to continue working together (i.e. neuropsychological/other testing/medical information/previous therapy summary or diagnoses). You may bring a comfort object to the first session if that is helpful to you and during ongoing sessions if you wish (i.e., favorite stress ball).
Is Telehealth the same as an in-person session?
Yes. Just like if you were in person, you are expected to always be in a private space for your session, with no one around just like if we in an in-person meeting. However, I want you to be as comfortable as possible, so you are always welcome to grab whatever you need during our session or pause for any reason.
I kindly ask everyone to please call or email me at least 48 hours from the time of your scheduled appointment with me. I do time stamp the call or email. You do not need to hear from me to cancel a session. If you leave a voicemail or send an email, you’re good to go! There is a no show/ late cancellation fee that applies to notices under 48 hours from the time of the appointment.
How do I know if we are a good therapeutic match?
The therapist-client relationship is a very special one where it will be very important for you to gage your therapist. This may take a few sessions. To achieve the greatest success in therapy, finding the right fit will be very important. There may be many factors that tell you a psychotherapist is the right fit. The fee charged may be a factor. The persons perceived age. The clinician’s level of training and therapeutic style may be something to think about. You may also want to notice things like the clinician’s personality and the way you feel in a session. Trusting your intuition is also something that I would pay attention to.
I have a clinical mental health counseling license in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
